Best Affordable Christmas Gifts: Gaming

     This is a new series that I will call "Best Affordable Christmas Gifts:" and will state Christmas gifts that are affordable and that the person getting the gift (is there a verb for that? maybe receiver...) will love.

     Today's Christmas Gifts are based upon: Gaming. I will run through the best games from ages 8 and up, which are popular today.

     8-12:
========
1) Star Wars: The Force Unleashed :

Number 1 of the forced unleashed is about Darth Vader's "Apprentice". Over the story line, the Apprentice, goes through a series of adventures including going to different planets, building up your skill to gain new powers, and more. The Force Unleashed (1) is sold new for $29.99 (PS3) at Gamestop or $19.99 pre-owned (PS3) also at GameStop (EB Games).

2) Star Wars Force Unleashed 2:

The second to the force unleashed is a great sequel to the first, pricing at $40 New at GameStop (Collectors edition), but I'm sure you could find a pre-owned for $29.99. The second goes through the Apprentice re-uniting with himself, and trying to find his "One true love", Juno. Throughout the story you go through upgrading your skills, and gaining new powers, using dual wield light sabers, and new ability's.

     13-19
=========
1) Battle Field 3:

Battle Field 3 is a great sequel to the old battle field 2, and comes loaded with new features your 13-19 year old will surly love. Unique game play is Battle Field's specialty, with vehicles like airplanes, forklifts, cars, jeeps, and lots more you can drive. Battlefield allows you to go through gigantic maps which sometimes are difficult to find people online (LOL). Battle field 3 is a nice alternitive to any other shooter on the market today, and will surly impress your teenager. Battle field will run you $60 Used, and 65-70 dollars new, for Wii, Playstaion 3, and Xbox 360.

2) Uncharted 3, Drakes Deception

Uncharted 3, Drakes Deception, is an amazing sequel to the other 2, continuing the story from the last. In U-3, you will find a series of enemy's to face which will come with a variety of weapons, including knives and guns. After fighting off the bad guys, scale cliffs and get the perfect timing on a train to make the jump. U-3 is less of a fighting game and more of a park our game from what I've SEEN AND HEARD, and will be a nice fit to the PS3 lineup. Uncharted 3 will cost you $59.99 and only comes on PlayStation 3.

Everyone 12+
==========

1) Skyrim: Elder scrolls V:

Skyrim is the freaking most intense game you will ever play and will run you $65 PS3, Wii, Xbox, PC.

TO show how intense it is, I'm not going to ruin it: http://www.ebgames.ca/ps3/games/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim/308140

PlayStation Vita Hits Japan!

     The successor to the famous PSP (PlayStation Portable) has been announced, talked about for lots of time, and now has finally gotten away from the highly guarded podiums and into eager gamer's hands.

     As Sony has been struggling to make profit, the PS Vita is supposed to make the company put off the horrible struggling within it. The PS Vita had about 300 gamer's lined up outside Tokyo's stores, many of them had a Pre-Order so they could get their hands on it right away.

     But what is the PS Vita? It is the successor to the PSP, with gyroscopes, GPS tracking technology, 2 cameras, new screen, DUAL ANALOG STICKS, front touch screen, back touch pad, and it gets even better from there.

     "I'm so happy to see so many people lining up for PS Vita so early in the morning," Sony Computer Entertainment Japan President Hiroshi Kono wrote in his official blog after touring several Tokyo stores. "I can tell they had anxiously waited for today's launch." (http://usat.ly/taBj7a paragraph 4)

     This might be the biggest launch for Sony since the huge success of the PS3 (PlayStation 3) which was the next generation of gaming consoles from the PS2 (PlayStation 2) or Xbox (By Microsoft). The Vita is a competitor to Nintendo's 3DS (But not really, the thing is a piece of s*** and Vita dominates) but here's a link to it anyway... (http://www.nintendo.com/3ds/ And BTW The 3DS went from $250 to $169.99 in 2 months, just to prove it's not selling well).

     All companies will have to compete against the tablets and smartphones that run apps like "Cut The Rope" and "Angry Birds" which will act as games.

     The PS Vita will hit North Amer-ica and Europe on February 22, 2012 (Approximate date)
